CINCINNATI, OH (February 27, 2024) – Households in need of assistance with their energy bill can receive help through the end of March by making an appointment online at capappointments.com, or by calling 513-685-4478. The households must have a gross income at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty level. For a family of four, the annual income must be at or below $52,500.
Customers will need the following documents at the time of their appointment:
- Copies of their most recent energy bills
- A list of all household members and proof of income for the last 30 days or 12 months for each member
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency for all household members
- Proof of disability (if applicable)
Ohioans enrolled in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus Program (PIPP Plus) are eligible for bill payment assistance through the program but are encouraged to work with CAA to identify other opportunities for assistance.
HEAP’s programs are designed to assist Hamilton County residents with their utility bills and are federally funded and administered across the state by the Ohio Department of Development. For more information on HEAP or any of the programs offered by CAA, please visit cincy-caa.org.
