October 27, 2024- CAA Announces Additional Pick-up Dates for Diaper Bank Program
November 25, 2024 (Cincinnati, OH) –The Community Action Agency (CAA) will be offering additional opportunities for families with young children who need diapers to pick up diapers for FREE. During this time of year, the need for supportive services increases as families juggle the uptick in the rise in costs to maintain a household.
The new dates and times are:
Monday – December 2, 9, and 16 from 2p.m.-4p.m. at 1740 Langdon Farm Rd.
Wednesday – December 4 and 11 from Noon – 2 p.m. at 880 W. Court Street
Friday – December 6, 13, and 20 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1740 Langdon Farm Rd.
Since the start of this program in January, CAA has distributed over 500-thousand diapers to more than 2,000 families in Hamilton County. The partnership with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank has allowed CAA to provide pre-packaged diapers, wipes and educational materials to families who need the assistance.
“We have seen so many families come to receive diapers for their children, and we have heard repeatedly how much of a help this program has been because diapers are expensive, but necessary. This is one of the main reasons we have decided to expand the Diaper Bank Program in the upcoming year. Now is the perfect time especially with Holiday Season because we know this is when many families need the help the most,” said Nikki Williams, VP of Community Services for CAA.
In addition to diapers, families are also provided with wrap-around services including wipes, A&D ointment, educational materials and more. CAA also refers families to other programs and services when needed.
There are no income restrictions or proof of hardship required to receive diapers, however, you must be a resident of Hamilton County. Families will be allowed to receive one batch that includes 50 diapers for each child living in the household per month. Attendees are asked to complete a survey and pre-register by visiting CAA’s website, cincy-caa.org.
