GETTING STARTED
CAA’s vocational training program provides participants with the opportunity to obtain state and/or national recognized certification in the areas of Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Health Technology, Emergency Medicine or Supply Chain and Logistics. Training programs may vary from in-person, virtual, or hybrid models.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- Must Be 18 years and older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Meet the income requirements
- Hamilton County Resident
- Earn at least a 4 on the Work Keys Test (Certificate Training Participants Only)

MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING ENROLLMENT DATES: JULY 10- 28 CLASSES BEGIN AUGUST 8
The Hamilton County Community Action Agency, Vocational Training program is offering a free Medical Coding and Billing training class to income-eligible, Hamilton County Residents.
CAA Medical Billing and Coding Training
The 12-week training program begins on August 8, 2023, and will meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm. The training will prepare participants to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Certified Billing and Coding Specialists exam (CBCS).
Upon successful completion of the CBCS exam as well as during the training, on-the-job learning opportunities and career placement assistance will be provided.
Participants earning the CBCS exam will be qualified for entry-level Medical Coding and Billing positions at are healthcare providers.
